Happy Birthday Brady!

Today my Brady boy turns 19!

This is the first birthday
that he will celebrate
out of the nest.

Sigh.

I miss him,

but today I will rejoice in

the young man he has become!

Independent.

Free flying,

and

strong.

(As in training for a marathon
in the middle of a
Spokane winter strong.)

He is a talented, self taught, musician

and he writes his own stuff.

(I love that.)

Brady is determined.

He tackles life head on.

No messing around.

He thinks deeply,

and differently,

in a good way.

My fuzzy haired, baby boy
has grown into a man of God.

Psalm 71:5-6

5 For You are my hope, O Lord GOD;
You are my trust from my youth.
6 By You I have been upheld from birth;
You are He who took me out of my mother’s womb.
My praise shall be continually of You.

He is trustworthy,

and of good character.

When life gets messy . . .

or uncomfortable,

Brady pushes through --

recognizing struggles

as opportunities to

grow,

and seizing the moment!

He's my funny "baby of the family"--

at least for the first 12 years of his life.

Beloved little brother . . .

turned great big brother!

Who has . . .

never let a teachable moment

slip away.

Brady, you lift us up.

You make us smile.

You remind us that there are serious things in life . . .

but that too much seriousness . . .

isn't good for ones soul.

You live each day to the fullest . . .

and you do it on a grand scale!

I just love the way

you fit perfectly in the middle of us.

(God planned you for that spot, you know.)

What would we do without you there?

Thank you for teaching me that

life is not about coloring inside the lines . . .

that would be easy, but oh so boring.

Happy Birthday Brade.

WE LOVE YOU LOUD!!

Mom

Blessings from my nest ~

Happy Birthday, Brady! We were so happy to get to know you in Texas before you flew out on your own. And, it's great to hear how well you are doing in Washington.
Blessings for a fantastic next year! Your momma and daddy love you lots and it shows.
Have a great day!
