Thank you to each of you who "attended" the shower on behalf of the Morning Star babies . . . the Newlys- Taylor & Frankie @ The Adventures of Taylor and Frankie, my sister Amy, my sis-in-love Jodi and my sweet bloggy friends, Sarah@ Our Journey to Grace, and Addie @ Blessed Impatience! And lastly, to the winner my dear friend Valerie!

A quick note about the winner. Val and I met in December of 1987. We had both just "landed" in Okinawa, Japan, compliments of the military. We each had one little one at the time, and during our assignments on the island we would each go on to have one more. Oceans apart from our extended families (and with our husbands frequently away), we quickly became each other's loving support. Guess who hosted my baby shower when Taylor was born? Valerie. When her Cameron was born the following year, it was yours truly who hosted her baby shower. We were the very best of friends for three years, and then it was time to move on. We kept in touch for a bit, but eventually we completely lost track of each other. Just last month, thanks to the magic of Facebook, we were "reunited"! It has been wonderful being back in touch with one another. I find it very fitting that Valerie, one of my oldest, dearest, baby showering friends, would be the door prize winner! I love you Val, and I'm so happy that you are a part of my life again!
